'It's rather dark in the earth today,
said one little bulb to another,
But I thought that I felt a sunbeam's ray,
we must strive and grow till we find our way,
and they nestled close to each other.
They struggled and strived by day and by night,
till two little snowdrops in green and white,
rose out of the darkness and into the light;
and softly kissed one another.'
I remember that poem from infants school so it was with this in mind that I set about thinking of my next bear. This bear is called Sunbeam and he has his very own bunch of snowdrops which I made especially for him to hold.
They go very nicely with his fabulous gold fur and the hand dyed emerald green silk velvet ruffle that I made. He's 16 inches tall and can stand nicely if balanced, he has a beautifully expressive face with lots of detailing and scissoring to create a stunning bear.
Sunbeam has now been adopted..Thanks
