I am so proud of Gypsie my latest little bear...she is a 10 inch fluttery bear with hand painted wings. With all the fallen leaves piling up in the garden it inspired me to make this sleepy little moth bear who has a distinctly dusty look about her. She loves hiding in dark corners and curling up for a little snooze in the log pile where she matches the colours so she can enjoy her slumbers, getting ready to flitter about at night when the stars come out. Well...that's what I imagine she would do anyway!
I dyed this lovely mohair myself and added some sleepy leather eyelids which I gave a hint of a gold sheen to and some lovely long fluttery eyelashes for added prettiness. She has wired arms, lovely sculpted toe-toes and paws which I have shaded to create a soft look. I gave her a tufty little coif and finally she wanted a pretty dress so I made her a hand painted shabby chic tulle tutu and added some Swarovski crystals to her wingsfor a bit of sparkle!! GYPSIE has now been adopted...thanks so much for all the kind comments !!
