I tearfully watched the memorial for Michael Jackson last night and thought it was unexpectedly low key and warm. Even if you aren't a fan I fail to see how anyone could not be moved by the sight of his lovely children.
One of the speakers said to the children, 'Your father was not odd, it was odd what happened to him' and I think he's right. I am not sure what to think about Michael Jackson...I am not a 'no smoke without fire' person though I do believe he made serious errors of judgement in his life. But that life, under that spotlight and that scrutiny from such a young age would take it's toll on anyone.
One thing goes without saying though, in my lifetime I suspect that there will not be another musical genius that could even come close to his talent, innovation and ability to entertain.
Michael is 'moonwalking' in heaven now and I hope he finally finds peace.
i too filled up , what a waste of talent, he was a star in his own right so let him rest in peace

I shed tears too Jenny. I was a huge fan as a girl. I think I'm a bit shell shocked by his sudden death. Doesn't seem real. He was a unique man.
