I have no reason for posting this other than the fact that I took this shot of Steve..( he's the one with the least hair) and Zoe our Tibetan Terrier this morning while he was chillin' . I just love this picture!
It's so windy here tonight....the wind is fair rattling round the house. It's very eerie and at the same time comforting to be indoors. I love this poem about the wind.
Who Has Seen the Wind?
Who has seen the wind? Neither I nor you. But when the leaves hang trembling, The wind is passing through. Who has seen the wind? Neither you nor I. But when the trees bow down their heads, The wind is passing by.
Jade Goody died this morning. Not my fave person on the box really. I HATE Big Brother with a passion and when they twitter on about it in the salon it really annoys me because it's tabloid TV at it's absolute worst...making all these no-hoper kids think the ONLY way to be successful in life is to get famous for 5 minutes and then milk it for the rest of their lives. Not good.
But anyway..I digress. I feel sorry that she died at such a young age....leaving her children in the glare of publicity. Sad too that she died on Mothering Sunday...that final bit of cruelty tarnishing her all too short 27 year life.
I think it might have a positive effect because cervical cancer is such a blight and girls do not always take it seriously.
Let's hope that heaven welcomes Jade Goody and that there are no TV cameras or OK magazines waiting for her.
Bless you Jade...whatever anyone thinks of you and your circus of a life...you didn't deserve to die so young.
It's Mothering Sunday this weekend...and it's really hard when you haven't got your mum around to send flowers to. Even though there are plenty of mums in the family..and plenty of kids...it's a bit like not having a friend when everyone else has one.
I miss my mum..especially at times like this. So for anyone else who misses their mum ( or dad) here are some pretty flowers, still dewy, photographed this morning in the sunshine in our garden. I think we all deserve some flowers ourselves!!
I made this goo-ey chocolate cake , which is minus it's candles, yesterday for Olivers birthday and DIDN'T even have a teeny tiny taste!!! Stuck to my diet ALL day...and then had a bit of Pavlova for my pud. I don't reckon Pavlova is much of a sin.....and I only had a small piece...HONEST!
We seem to be ahead of ourselves in our house...the girls are so into Easter this year that everything has to have eggs or chicks on it!!
I have finished my latest bear...who is GORGEOUS. (honest) ..but unfortunately I've been dilly-dallying about round Royal Leamington Spa today, drinking skinny lattes by the bucket full ...tripping round shop after shop with Steve in tow. He didn't complain once ( very strange, that) and even PAID without moaning.
So anyway, because of that I didn't get done in time to do the pictures of her that I promised....so watch this space tomorrow!!
